Cancer Bites 2011

It’s our 2nd annual Cancer Bites Double Feature! Last year we raised over $2,500 and we are going to obliterate that total this year. Our Charity is the Huntsman Cancer Institute; it’s local and helps local individuals and families.

For 2011 it’s the Creepy Critter Double Feature! We are showing the 1984 classic Gremlins – you know, the movie with the girl in the red bikini from Fast Times at Ridgemont High you can’t get wet or feed after midnight – along with William Shatner’s epic Nightmare at 20,000 Feet – the one where Captain Kirk sees a Gremlin on the airplane wing. We know you could walk or run for cancer, but it’s October. Sit in the dark and eat some nachos while you help save lives and ease the burden of families.

Our Facebook Page is found HERE. Please ‘like’ it and we will keep you up to date with the raffle prizes and any further information!

The MC’s this year will be local comedian Greg Orme and an Elvira impersonator. Yes, we found a girl to dress up as Elvira. I am as excited as you are.

2011’s raffle prizes are going to be just as great. The full list will be available soon, but so far we have:

Spa Passes
Art from local artists
Salon Packages
Gift Certificates
Tattoo Sittings
Mary Kay baskets
Wine Set Box w/ Utensils
Halloween Decor
Plus more to be announced –
All donated by local business owners and artists.

If you would like to donate items leave a comment or email.

It all goes down Thursday, October 13th from 7pm to 10pm at Brewvies Cinema.

$20 includes a T-Shirt and admission to both films!
